Betty, a retired health store and restaurant owner, wished for hearing aids to improve communication with her daughter. Thanks to the kindness and generosity of Audiology Research Associates in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Betty’s wish was granted by the Pacific Northwest Chapter on January 28, 2011. Betty cares for her daughter, 67, who has Parkinson's Disease, and son-in-law, 76, who has suffered two strokes. Betty still drives and does all the cooking and shopping for the family despite suffering with diabetes and breaking a hip a year ago. She is very grateful for her new hearing aids which now enable her to avoid family miscommunications.
